Hackers Suffer 7-3 Home Defeat
|
Silicon Valley designated hitter Keith Peterson was sensational. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Frisco beat the Hackers, 7-3. Brian Wild earned the win for Frisco. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 1-3. Frisco has a record of 15-13.
Dave Bedford had a big 2-run double for the Rams in the top of the first inning. With Frisco leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Juan Contreras and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rams ahead, 3-0.
In comments to the Frisco Citizen, Bedford admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
