The Boise Hawks extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Silicon Valley Hackers.
Silicon Valley turned a fine outing from starter Andy Mitchell into a victory over the Boise Hawks at Basque Block Field. The final score was 6-1. Alex Caballero got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jason Chaney? The 23-year old left fielder Chaney stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put Silicon Valley up, 5-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
