Hackers Improve to 27-9 with 8-3 Win
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers powered past the Roaring River Steelheads, 8-3, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Dan Carnes went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2, to lead the charge. With the win, the Hackers have a record of 27-9.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Carnes hit a 2-run home run off David Ruano. It propelled the Hackers into the lead, 5-3.
"They had a good approach," Roaring River skipper Mike Bouffard said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
