Indians Tuck Away 7-1 Win Over Niagara Falls
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Wauwatosa-Niagara Falls ballgame.
Angelo Becerra, who is tied for 8th in the TAA in total bases with 68, led Wauwatosa to a triumph over Niagara Falls. The final score was 7-1. The third baseman went 3 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 2 RBI. Hamilton Thomas collected save number 2.
Becerra had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 changeup from Mario Lopez, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Indians a 2-1 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Becerra.
Said losing manager Jonathan Kelly: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
The 4th-place Indians now have a record of 20-17.
