Pipe Fitters Suffer One-Run Loss at Kelowna
|
The Kelowna Rockets earned a close win over the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, thanks in part to Dave Rivera. The Kelowna right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The loss makes the Pipe Fitters 12-20.
Had Randy Parrell not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Parrell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rockets.
"Dave just settled in and did what he does," said Kelowna manager .
