Buxton goes 4-for-5 to Light Drillers Fuse
The Beaumont Drillers topped the Kelowna Rockets by a score of 11-8. Leading the way was designated hitter Adam Buxton. Buxton went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Drillers. Steve Surprenant went 5.1 innings for Beaumont to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 2. His record improves to 2-3. With the win over Kelowna, the Drillers improved to 18-23.

With Beaumont leading 7-4 in the top of the sixth, Buxton hit a fastball from Carlos Zorrilla for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Drillers ahead, 11-4.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Buxton told the Beaumont Daily News.
