Wichita registered a win at Chapman Field by beating the Clearwater Seagulls, 11-4. Pitcher Sterling Livengood was one reason why the Wolverines triumphed. Livengood yielded no runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-3. Wichita is 17-22 and Clearwater, with the loss, 20-19.

Wichita left fielder Edward Suarez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 2nd hit of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 4-0.

"We take it day by day here," said Suarez, "and today was a good one for us."
