Cornhuskers Get Past Carson City for 3-2 Win
The DeKalb Cornhuskers had to overcome a good performance from Carson City pitcher Josh Blum to claim a 3-2 win at The Corn Crib. Blum went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. DeKalb reliever John Kibler picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Josh Blum took the loss. DeKalb is now 16-19, Carson City 17-18.

DeKalb took a 3-2 lead on David Albright's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Albright hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Carson City pitcher Damien Lamboglio visibly frustrated.

"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Albright said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
