Hackers Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Drillers, 4-1

Ozzie Pedro, who is tied for 3rd in the RAA in quality starts with 4, propelled his team to victory over the Beaumont Drillers. The final score was 4-1, Silicon Valley. The win belonged to Josh Tibbetts in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jamie Edwards took the loss for Beaumont. The triumph puts Silicon Valley at 19-16 for the season.
Ozzie Ruiz came through with a big-time hit for Silicon Valley. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Ozzie did a heck of a job," said Silicon Valley manager Brad Jones.
