Behind a solid performance from first baseman Zach Johnson, the Clearwater Seagulls defeated the Rock River Rats, 5-4. Johnson was 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk for the Seagulls. Clearwater is now 22-19, Rock River 27-15.

Had David Ottman not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ottman hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Seagulls.
