Big Day for Keller in 11-1 Bulldogs Win
|
Spokane took on Fraser Valley in front of a lively crowd.
In the 11-1 Spokane win over Fraser Valley, the impact of George Keller was substantial. Keller, who is tied for 10th in the TAA in home runs with 7, went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Santiago Sanchez wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Spokane relied on the hitting of Andrew Valentine to pick up the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bulldogs on top, 3-1. For the game, Valentine had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Said losing manager Albert Giles: "'I liked the effort, just not the results."
Spokane now owns a record of 14-22.
