Adirondack Beats DeKalb, 4-3
|
Adirondack parlayed a decent outing from starter Stu Carnell into a solid win over the DeKalb Cornhuskers. The final score was 4-3. The Lumberjacks have an impressive 26-11 record.
Eric Reiter drove in one run for Adirondack. The 25-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tony Gutierrez. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Adirondack manager Daniel Brenton.
