The Wichita Wolverines could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Danny Estrada into a win. Instead, the Carson City Mustang prevailed, 6-5. Estrada came in in relief and pitched to 28 batters. Wichita's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Matthew Rice? The 24-year old second baseman Rice stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Carson City up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
