DeKalb turned a good performance from starting pitcher Mike DeGraffenried into a 3-0 triumph over the Sandy Springs Spartans at The Coliseum. The Cornhuskers now own a record of 18-24.

Kasey Mayo had a direct impact on the outcome. Mayo contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put DeKalb up, 3-0.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Rafael Alonso. "That was the problem."
