Whitecaps Better Rockets, 2-1

The Boston Whitecaps eked out a 2-1 win versus the Kelowna Rockets at The Studio. Nobody did more than pitcher Joe Jungbauer. He was terrific. Earning his 9th save for Boston was Chris Sarne. Boston now sits at 28-22, while Kelowna falls to 24-27.
Justin Alexander had a big solo home run for the Whitecaps in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a changeup from Zach Clark, the 24th overall pick in the 2054 draft, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Whitecaps on top, 2-0.
Alexander told the Boston Today: "I was born for the big stage."
