Royals Collect 2-1 Win Over Steelheads
Roaring River got a terrific performance from pitcher Steve Lewis, but it wasn't enough to beat the Windsor Royals. Windsor won the Casino Grounds contest, 2-1. Lewis threw 9.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The Royals, at 35-17, have now won 5 straight.

Windsor used the timely hitting of Brett Kern to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Royals on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Kern.
