Whitecaps Triumphant, 4-1, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum
Boston Whitecaps starter Brice Lavaud led his team to victory over the Kelowna Rockets, 4-1. The right-hander was locked-in. Lavaud picked up the win for Boston, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 1 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. John Finn collected his 13th save.

Boston used a well-timed hit by Todd Meserole to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Whitecaps ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

In postgame remarks, Meserole applauded his team's "business-like approach."

Boston is now 30-24.
