Wichita Wolverines right-hander Danny Riemer pitched a good game against the Boston Whitecaps at Howling Park, leading his team to victory, 6-3. The save went to Luis Segarra, his 9th this season. The 6th-place Wolverines own a record of 16-30.

Nick O'Neill had a big bases-clearing double for the Wolverines in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Wichita leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Josh Wucherer and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wolverines ahead, 5-1.

"That was awesome. Really, really impressive, what Danny did," said Wichita manager John Bunce.
