In a tight contest at Howling Park, the Wichita Wolverines edged the Wauwatosa Indians by the score of 8-7. Wichita pinch hitter Troy Powers, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The victory puts Wichita at 18-28.

The Wolverines got a clutch hit from left fielder Joe Leonard. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wolverines.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Wolverines manager Abel Keller.
