The Silicon Valley Hackers faced a tough opponent in Adirondack pitcher Rod Horta, but did just enough to pull out the victory at San Jose Municipal Stadium by a final score of 6-5 in 11 innings. Horta went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. The first-place Hackers have won 6 straight games.

The Hackers got a clutch hit from second baseman Colin Magne. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hackers.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Silicon Valley manager Brad Jones.
