Clearwater Absorbs 6-3 Loss to Boston
The 6-3 Boston win over Clearwater was due in large part to Justin Alexander. The Whitecaps catcher went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Nick Merritt recorded the save, his 11th. Boston is now 29-20. Clearwater is 25-26.

Alexander had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 cutter from Kurtis Rumsey, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Whitecaps a 5-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Alexander.

Alexander called the win "a team effort."
