The Beaumont Drillers knocked off the Wichita Wolverines, 4-2, at Howling Park. Travis MacDonald was a big reason Beaumont won. The designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Drillers now have a record of 25-36.

With Beaumont leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, MacDonald hit a fastball from Mario Bonilla for a run-scoring double. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Drillers ahead, 3-0.
