Cornhuskers Rally to Nose Past Wichita
|
DeKalb first baseman Dusty Lenihan had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Wichita Wolverines, 9-8, in 12 innings. Alejandro Saldana earned the save for DeKalb, his 1st. The loss makes Wichita 19-33.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Lenihan delivered big-time for DeKalb, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Jaime Clayman. The game-changing hit put the Cornhuskers on top, 9-8.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Wichita manager Abel Keller.
