The Boston Whitecaps called upon starter Josh Lassiter, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Windsor Royals, 4-1. Franklin Sprague wrapped it up, recording his 19th save. Boston is now 35-21, Windsor 32-23.
Lassiter, the winner, is now 6-3, after putting the clamps on the Windsor offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 5 hits, while collecting 9 Ks.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Lassiter. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
