Indians Suffer 4-2 Home Defeat
|
Madison pitcher Chad Stoppa did his part in helping his team beat the Wauwatosa Indians, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Stoppa, now 2-5, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Madison bumps their record to 25-30 with the win.
Charles Randell had a direct impact on the outcome. Randell contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Madison up, 4-2.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Beehive manager Leon Morris. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
