Wolverines Get Thrilling 3-2 Win
|
Wichita turned a good performance from starting pitcher Juan Sandoval into a 3-2 triumph over the Murraysville Peacocks at Howling Park. Wichita reliever Nelson Soto picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Jared Haney absorbed the loss. The win puts Wichita at 24-40.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jared Pytlak in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off fireballing right-hander Jared Haney to win the game for Wichita. The home crowd went nuts.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Sandoval said.
