Cornhuskers Come Back Late to Top Wolverines, 2-1
DeKalb took on Wichita in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Edgar Peraza, in particular, was fantastic. The DeKalb right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. The win went to Joey Marchant in relief. His record improves to 5-0. Bill Rodriguez took the loss. By defeating Wichita, the last-place Cornhuskers improved to 22-34.

DeKalb took a 2-1 lead on Terry Streetman's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Streetman hit in the top of the eighth, left Wichita pitcher Bill Rodriguez visibly frustrated.

"That's us at our best," Streetman told the DeKalb Today. "Pitching and trying to prevent runs."
