Coy Lifts Spartans to 13-4 Triumph

The Sandy Springs Spartans marched over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 13-4, at The Coffee Grinder. Levi Coy led the charge. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. With the win, the Spartans have a record of 36-30.

Brian Stokes had a big 2-run triple for the Spartans in the top of the second inning. With Sandy Springs leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Sipes and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spartans ahead, 4-0.
