Beetlecats Rally to Nose Past Sandy Springs
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats downed the Sandy Springs Spartans, 2-1, at The Coffee Grinder. Stellar pitching by Marco Acosta had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 3rd in the RAA in wins with 8, handcuffed his opponent all game. The Beetlecats move to 35-33 with the win, while the Spartans drop to 36-31.

Robby Stewart drew 1 walk for Buzzard's Bay. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kenny Holloway. It was his 45th RBI of the season.

"Makes our job easier," said Stewart, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
