Sandy Springs left fielder Ashton Clow was instrumental in helping the Spartans triumph, 10-2, over the Adirondack Lumberjacks. Clow went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Sandy Springs, at 33-24, occupies second place in the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division.

Nick Blalock had a big grand slam home run for the Spartans in the bottom of the second inning. With Sandy Springs leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Bob Dillon and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spartans ahead, 5-0.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Daniel Brenton.
