Steve Svehla was a major factor in the 10-2 Silicon Valley win over Clearwater. The Hackers first baseman was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. With the win, Silicon Valley goes to 37-20, while the Seagulls fall to 26-31.

With Silicon Valley leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Svehla hit a fastball from John Wilder for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Hackers ahead, 4-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Clearwater manager Ayub Ndadaye. "We got trounced."
