FUBU Field was the site of a tense game between the Carson City Mustang and Evanston Bishops.

Rick Upton was locked and loaded, helping the Evanston Bishops beat the Carson City Mustang, 2-1. Upton got the win, improving to 8-1. He gave up 3 hits and walked 5 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Jerry Bamberg picked up the save, his 7th.

Evanston took a 2-1 lead on Gary Juneau's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Juneau hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Carson City pitcher Tyler Frasier visibly frustrated.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Juneau said.

Evanston leads the TML AA Jim Leyland Division by 4½ games.
