Crocodiles Take Home 4-0 Win Over Beaumont
|
Louisiana used a superb performance from starting pitcher Sam Marshall to down the Beaumont Drillers, 4-0. Marshall, the winner, moves to 3-5. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Matt Weiler picked up the save, his 1st.
Louisiana used a clutch at-bat from Jeff Eaton to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Crocodiles ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Eaton told the Louisiana Herald. "But we take nothing for granted."
The Crocodiles, at 27-32, have now won 5 straight.
