Crocodiles Win Streak Reaches 6

Louisiana first baseman Carlos Mendoza was instrumental in helping the Crocodiles triumph, 3-1, over the Beaumont Drillers. Mendoza was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. Jaime Kolster picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 2-4. Jason Mulford picked up the save, his 8th.
With Louisiana leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Mendoza hit a fastball from Axel Borens for a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Crocodiles ahead, 2-0.
"We've been playing some good baseball," Mendoza told the Louisiana Herald. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
This win makes it 6 in a row for Louisiana.
