Baseball fans saw a good contest between the DeKalb Cornhuskers and Moose Jaw Canucks.

DeKalb right-hander Ciro Della Volpe pitched his team to victory over the Moose Jaw Canucks at The Corn Crib. The final score was 6-4. DeKalb reliever Ciro Della Volpe picked up the win, while Isaiah Springfield took the loss for Moose Jaw. Jimmy Johnson earned the save, his 9th, for the Cornhuskers.

Jeff Dusenbery went 1 for 4 for DeKalb. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Isaiah Springfield. It was his 30th hit of the season.

"Ciro was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said DeKalb manager Trey Burrell.

DeKalb's record now stands at 39-33, placing them 4th in the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division.
