Riding the 2-hit performance of the 19-year old left fielder Aaron Rowe, the Clearwater Seagulls stopped the Marysville Monarchs, 8-1. With the win, Clearwater goes to 43-31, while the Monarchs fall to 22-51.

Early in the game, Rowe had a 3-run home run for Clearwater. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Seagulls on top, 4-1.

Said losing manager Angel Gareia: "Give the Seagulls credit. They played a better game than we did."
