Indians Drop 7-6 Decision to Whitecaps
|
The Whitecaps grabbed a win, 7-6, at The Studio, overcoming a fine effort from Wauwatosa pitcher Ron Schott. Schott went 0 innings and allowed no runs. Boston reliever David Burger was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Elijah West. Jose Pacheco sewed up the save, his 1st.
T.J. Kirkpatrick, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2060 draft, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With no one out and the bases loaded, the Boston first baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Whitecaps in front, 3-2.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Kirkpatrick told the Boston Today.
The win makes Boston 45-29.
