Drillers Win with Late Rally
The Beaumont Drillers outlasted the Spokane Bulldogs, 7-6, in 12 innings. Kyle Brunner provided some punch at the plate for Beaumont. He went 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. At 34-42, the Drillers find themselves in 5th place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the 12th. With Beaumont trailing 6-5, Jim Verna hit a splitter from Johnny Parke to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Drillers had a walk-off win.

Brunner said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
