Whitecaps second baseman Kenny Cox left his imprint on his team's 8-4 win over the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters. Cox was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Boston in the contest. At 40-23, the Whitecaps are currently first in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division.

The Whitecaps got a big hit from pinch hitter Matt Farmer. In the bottom of the sixth, Farmer smacked a grand slam home run off Niagara Falls pitcher Jay Gross. It was his 5th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Whitecaps were ahead, 5-4.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Whitecaps manager T.J. Hall.
