Adam DeVoe was in a mood to talk following the Fraser Valley Black Bears contest against the Spokane Bulldogs, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Bulldogs, 8-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," DeVoe said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Spokane on a 4-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 7 strikeouts.
This year, DeVoe has worked 78.1 innings with 73 strikeouts en route to a 4-7 record and a 4.37 ERA.
