Niagara Falls Upended by Pacifica, 6-1
|
Niagara Falls had no answer for Pacifica Shamrocks hurler Dave Campbell, who overwhelmed Pipe Fitters hitters as the Shamrocks coasted to victory, 6-1. Oscar Aviles picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Mike Olejarz was tagged with the loss. Pacifica is now 29-52. Niagara Falls is 45-35.
The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Felipe Castillo. For the game, Castillo went 2 for 4 with a triple and a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Pacifica a 3-1 lead.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Shamrocks manager Pedro Mercado.
