Hackers Beat Cornhuskers, 8-2

Silicon Valley left fielder Dennis Roberts contributed significantly to his team's 8-2 win over the DeKalb Cornhuskers. Roberts, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2059 draft, went 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Hackers. The win gives Silicon Valley a season record of 55-25.
Josh Bigrigg had a big 2-run home run for the Hackers in the top of the sixth inning. With Silicon Valley leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jose Vega and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Hackers on top, 4-0.
Roberts attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
