Vega Helps Indians Run Win Streak to 5
The Wauwatosa Indians topped the Kelowna Rockets by a score of 10-5. Leading the way was shortstop Alex Vega. Vega was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Indians. Wauwatosa reliever Kaoru Sakamoto picked up the win to move to 1-2. Corey MacIndoe suffered the loss. The 5th-place Indians have won 5 straight.

Ron Schott had a big bases-clearing double for the Indians in the top of the fourth inning. With Wauwatosa leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Corey MacIndoe and swatted a double to right. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Indians ahead, 5-1.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Vega told the Wauwatosa Daily. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
