The Wichita Wolverines beat the Pacifica Shamrocks, 4-3, in 16 innings. Wichita pitcher and Camagüey, Cuba, native Nelson Soto led the way. Luis Segarra got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The Wolverines raised their record to 30-51.

The Wolverines got a clutch hit from center fielder Matt Thweatt. In the bottom of the 16th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wolverines.
