Big Day for Ingram in 10-5 Seagulls Win
The Clearwater Seagulls beat the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 10-5, with major props going to first baseman Chris Ingram. On the day, Ingram went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Seagulls. Janghyun Lee got the win, improving to 1-4. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 4. Tyler Martin picked up his 15th save of the season.

Chris Handley had a big 2-run home run for the Seagulls in the bottom of the third inning. With Clearwater leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a curveball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Nate Sauro and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Seagulls on top, 3-0.

"We've got to get out of this funk," said Fraser Valley manager Albert Giles.

Fraser Valley is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
