Niagara Falls starter Mario Lopez pitched effectively against the Moose Jaw Canucks at Pipe Fitters Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-5. Niagara Falls reliever Jason Griffith picked up the win, while Jim Metcalfe took the loss for Moose Jaw.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Azregh Kamoga came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Moose Jaw pitcher Jim Metcalfe, he hit a 1-0 screwball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Niagara Falls on top, 7-5.

Kamoga told the Niagara Falls Times: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
