Bishops Walk It Off for 51st Win of Season
The Pacifica Shamrocks got a sterling performance from pitcher Tenho Meronen, but the Evanston Bishops still prevailed, 6-3. Meronen threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Evanston reliever Willis Paulino was the winner. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was Angel Rodriguez. With the win, Evanston upped its record to 51-34.

Evanston got a knockout punch from Ryan Schneck. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Schneck said.
