The Kelowna Rockets beat the Rock River Rats, 7-5, at The Rat Hole. Kelowna left fielder Shane Thompson collected 1 single and 1 double with 2 runs batted in. The win was credited to Tyler Sloper in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Marlon Walton took the loss. The 4th-place Rockets now sit at 38-47.

Kelowna used the timely hitting of John York to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rockets on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said York.
