No one was more impactful than Eli Neff in the 9-6 Evanston win over Spokane. Neff was 2-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up his 11th save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jerry Bamberg. The first-place Bishops are now 49-26, the Bulldogs 29-45.

Evanston used the timely hitting of Isaac Parker to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bishops on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We came out aggressive," said Bishops manager Demetrio Recchia. "We came out swinging the bats."
