Niagara Falls Decked, 6-2, by Royals
|
Though he had a great game, Tom Mohundro could not single-handedly produce a win for Niagara Falls. Windsor won the game, 6-2. Mohundro was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Chris Campbell closed the door for Windsor, picking up his 4th save of the year. The setback makes Niagara Falls 34-42.
The Royals got a big at-bat from left fielder Ed Zeerip. For the game, Zeerip was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Windsor a 2-0 lead.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Windsor manager Luis Hernández.
