Rats Suffer 3-0 Road Loss
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Boston Whitecaps and the Rock River Rats, Danny Arias, who is tied for 8th in the TAA in complete games with 2, was the difference-maker. The Boston right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Arias, now 8-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 5, and allowing no runs. Jose Pacheco closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Antonio Zuniga hit a 2-run triple off David Biesiada in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Whitecaps in front, 2-0. Zuniga had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
Zuniga said his team "played with focus and determination."
With the win, Boston has a record of 45-30. Rock River falls to 38-39.
